sebab makcik cleaner marah ambil wudu' dalam toilet

i know the title kinda sounds silly. but it means a lot to me. I love having a use-able toilet. the one I can use without feeling like to throw up, or worry my pants or kain would get soaked in it.

you know dekat jamiah or hospital (usually jamiah lah kan) makcik cleaner selalu sangat bebel-bebel lepas melayu berbondong-bondong ambil wudu' di toilet. but since she's an arab biasanya kita pun buat muka tak faham dan buat bo-layan aje pada beliau. well, tahukah anda, apakah sebab-sebab insiden ini berlaku?

sebab lepas kita ambil wudu' tu, basah lenjun, banjir air bertakung di toilet-toilet tersebut. and orang tempatan is NOT USED to that sebab ramai yang tak basuh kaki, sapu kasut je kan. so, adakah kita pun kena sapu kasut / stokin juga seperti mereka? NOT necessarily... so here's the solution untuk mengelakkan makcik cleaner sejordan mula rasa hot je bila nampak maliziyyin menghampiri toilet menjelang waktu solat.

Wipe wipe and wipe.
Use the wiper! toilet arab ni biasanya ada wiper di mana-mana. Carilah dalam toilet-toilet kecil tu insyaAllah ada. so... lepas dah kita basahkan lantainya itu, be kind enough to wipe it back. I sometimes wipe the toilet - yes, i meant the public toilet tu sebab the lantai is too soaked, and I don't like it. So, just because you're not a cleaner, doesn't mean you're not allowed to use it.

Budi bahasa budaya kita.
Amalkanlah senyum / bagi salam dekat makcik cleaner. If not for her, and other responsible toilet user, we won't get to use the toilet dengan aman. Memanglah toilet di jamiah tu tak setaraf toilet City Mall, but still, it would've gotten worse without makcik-makcik cleaner tu. Nak-nak lagi kalau dah merantau ke hospital-hospital lain, kadang-kadang nak solat menumpang-numpang locker room staff, lepas guna tu murahkanlah senyuman dan ucapan terima kasih. Kalau korang kena marah pun, throw that muka ketat away and give them a pleasant smile.

I think dua tu je lah key point kepada isu ni. I know it seems silly and all, tapi makcik cleaner pun ada hati dan perasaan, makcik cleaner dan staff hospital pun mendoakan kejayaan kita. Kan best kalau semua orang happy tengok Maliziyyin, tak tinggal solat dan pandai jaga kebersihan tandas selepas menggunakannya? sesungguhnya habit menjaga kebersihan tandas bermula dari rumah, dan habit berbahasa dengan makcik clenaer bermula dari sekolah rendah. masih belum terlambat, anda mampu mengubahnya!

Tiada Duka Yang Abadi

Sakit perit yang kita perlu lalui, is not forever. :-)

Found this video today, and I just have to share it with you people.

Visa Prepaid Card by Jordan Kuwait Bank

Hellooooooo online shopaholics! Jangan asyik shopping je, membazir amalan syaitonn okeh.

So, today I nak share sikit je pasal Prepaid Visa by Jordan Kuwait Bank. Please note that, I tak dapat komisen pun tolong promote ni, niat lillahi taala je nak memudahkan urusan anda je, cewah. Anyway, sebagai customer MarkaVIP, a friend of mine suggested I use prepaid visa to shop with markavip.

sekadar hiasan

Minimum nilainya 50JD, but you will have to pay 53 JD. Other available amount 100 JD, 200JD and so on. So, you can use this card macam normal credit card and nak guna kat ATM pun boleh saje. And kalau duit tak cukup, just like touch n go card bolehlah di top up...And ada sikit charge jugak, kalau 20 jd, you pay 21.5jd... i think we can ask iqtisad students, sebenarnya riba ke camne tu kiranya ke service charge?

Just bawak je iqamah dah memadai, on the spot dapat prepaid visa ni, tak ada susah payah sangat macam bank S******* C****** bertuah tu kan.. ha...

One more thing, kepada peminat MarkaVIP, not only you save 4JD for cash-on-delivery charge, ade jugak potongan 4 JD lagi sebab beli pakai credit card. So, dah cover dah 3JD yang kita spend kat prepaid visa tadi. But then again, i just use maybank visa electron je, not tax pun! wooo hoooo!

akhir kata, maaflah macam terlebih gula sket kan. Bagi yang tak tau markaVIP tu apa, boleh click here to join us =)

Seminggu di 2012

Alhamdulillah... dah seminggu dah kita di tahun baru 2012, and how are those habits of yours kicking??? Any good? Or it's a three days thingy and off you go to the old lazy you? hee hee. Still, don't give up just yet, keep on trying, and always remember : START SMALL!

Anyhow. Last week was my first week in Ramtha Hospital nuuuun jauh di hujung kampung, approaching syrian border gitu.. Being surrounded by kids and their beloved parents are amazing and heartwarming. I don't have younger brother and sisters, so I don't get to see much of how my parents worry about a sick kid. But, I've seen my brother and sister worried soooo much about their little ones. Well, I think it's only natural for parents to worry about their kids. Maklumlah, sayangkan anak itu fitrah, tapi anak perlu diajar sayangkan ibubapanya.

Yelah kan, kalau tak, masakan ada kisah Si Tanggang, Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup, Anakku Sazali? - wow Malaysian folks memang ada parenting issues yah. No wonder we have to have so many tales on anak derhaka ni..

And you know that time of your life bila pergi program they have this muhasabah session - my first one was when I was 11. How could the motivator talks about my mom who's at home worrying of what dinner I had that night, while I'm having so much fun making new friends in that particular program? So, yeah, anak-anak memang selalu kena diingatkan tentang ibubapanya, tapi on the contrary, parents, without fail will be thinking about their kids - even when those kids have their own kids pun, still parents worry about their wellbeing.

I guess the viral video on my facebook newsfeed this weekend is this ustaz don's video.

cannot playback, you have to watch on youtube

Speaking of parenting, ( I have no idea whether it's appropriate and ethical for me to write about my patient - tapi, just nak buat renungan kan, and I'm not going to mention pun any names) last week I took a history from a young mother. She brought her daughter to the hospital because of fever and loose stool. Turns out, after evaluation, her daughter was diagnosed as a case of failure to thrive. Well, obviously from the way she feeds her baby, and history we took from her, the cause is nutritional. When our attending took us to inspect the baby pun, she wet her nappies, sampai ke baju-baju basahnya mak dia tak salinkan. She's only 19, and this is her second baby, 6 months old and currently pregnant for 4 months.

Nutritional history - breastfeeding for 40 days only. As mentioned in AlQuran, recommended BF is for two years, "Haulain Kamilain", exclusive BF up to 6 months. *Tips untuk BF will be at the end of this entry*. And when the baby cried of hunger, she just amik jus rani tu tuang dalam botol and put it in her mouth. Not even formula milk!

So, pengajarannya... At this age, I know lots of my friends are getting married, some are expecting babies, yang dah deliver pun ada, congratulations... So, young moms, prepare yourself well, jangan sambil lewa je... Being a mother requires a lot of preparation and sacrifices. I mean, kesian dekat anak-anak je la nanti. Taking care of them physically is one thing, and providing education about Islam is another. It's our job untuk pastikan anak-anak kita nanti mampu jadi asset untuk kita ke syurga, and kita pun kena muhasabah, adakah kita akan jadi asset untuk bawa abah dan mama kita ke syurga.

Tips Breastfeeding by BF role-model

"Sebenarnya susu ni yang penting kita punya mindset je... Kadang-kadang ada hari susu sikit, kita jangan susah hati, takpe, banyak ni rezeki izzah harini, alhamdulillah....InshaAllah ada je susu untuk anak tu..."-kak ida.

So, moral of the story, kalau kita bersyukur Allah akan tambah, easy pizzy lemon sneezy kan?

till then, have a nice day everyone.

darkness that brings out the best in you

Assalamualaikum WBT.

Tapi, kita kena sabar, korbankan sedikit perasaan tu..." Not to mention, my mama kept the blanket I used and sleep with, just so that she could "smell" her daughter whom she didn't get to kiss anymore.

Alhamdulillah,I found this podcast, semoga bermanfaat untuk semua.

So, what I learnt today, from Surah ad-Dhuha is that we need darkness of the night. The silence allows us to get some rest. Just like we need the "dark" times of our life. When we feel like we're at the worst point we could ever be. These situation will brings out the best of us. The virtues Allah had instilled inside us, that can only be nourished and nurtured by going through hardship and trials of life.

Don't be sad when life gets a little bit more challenging, we're being molded to become a better person. Let's not fret. For example, being patient. You wouldn't know how patient you could be, until you get the opportunity to be patient.

Oklah, nanti dengar sendirilah podcast tu ada baaaaaanyak sangat recording :-) I bukan pandai pun nak cerita panjang-panjang. Till then, enjoy the darkness of the night.

how good is good?

"I want to be a better muslim / muslimah this year, inshaAllah".

If this is what your new year's resolution sounds like, I guess we're gonna need to improvise on that.

I love reading zenhabit and some other productivity blogs. And so often they talk about starting small, and be consistent with it. This year, I learnt that another good idea about changes, instead of setting goals, why not create habits.

Goals are temporary, habits are going to last.

So, list down some habits you want to instill in yourself and work on it! Try a month, you will feel the empowering feeling of being in control of yourself when you succeed. Remember, always start small :-) or you'll burn out quickly. Starting small, and being consistent - sounds familiar?
Daripada Aisyah r.ha., Nabi s.a.w. bersabda: "Wahai manusia lakukanlah amalan mengikut keupayaan kamu. Sesungguhnya Allah tidak jemu sehinggalah kamu jemu. Amalan yang paling Allah sukai ialah amalan yang berterusan walaupun sedikit."
(Riwayat al-Bukhari dan Muslim)
That day will come when you get to scratch them off the list, you've accomplish it and it's going to stay with you forever. Nice, huh? And another wrong thing about the above mentioned phrase is that it's not measurable. How good is good? How much better is actually "better" for you? Let's be more accurate, because only when you have measures you can tell if you have succeeded or not in achieving your target. So, instead of saying I wanna be a better person, list down what you mean by "better"?. Anyway, I'm sure you get my point kan.

Whatever your plan is, I wish you all the best, may this be a great start for us all. And here's something for those who find themselves easily distracted, cheers!
