mensyukuri nikmat ayam dan nasi.

I've been on semi-solid food for 4 days, and today's menu is by far the most cherished. Sebab? sebab I've been eating congee (did you know kanji comes from the word congee?) , puding, and all other carbs source available since Tuesday. okay, mungkin kita boleh tambah lagi dekat tajuk, nikmat mengunyah makanan. Long story short, I got my 3rd molar (wisdom tooth) extracted on Tueday, and cannot eat hard and hot stuff lah sementara waktu.

Today's Menu : Tomato Chicken Soup.

Cara-cara :
Reneh ayam dengan bawang dan garlic sehingga lembut.
Add in potatoes
Take the chicken out. Racik-racik ayam.
Puree some tomatoes in different skillet. (masak dulu then you blend).
Blend the tomatoes with the air rebusan ayam and some potatoes from the broth.
Add in the mixture and fold in the shredded chicken.
Add some cilantro or selery if you wish.

Being unable to chew, I pureed the end-product so I can swallow the chicken pieces without much chewing.

Were you being thankful today before your meal?

Few days ago my brother told me,
  • tahan le sikit
  • dari kecik sampai ke minggu lepas dok baham nasik tak berenti
  • lepas ni makan la pueh2
so it got me thinking, selama hari ni lepas makan kita baca doa lepas makan tu, kita betul ke bersyukur alhamdulillah dapat makan, kenyang, hilang dahaga hari ini dengan rezeki Allah bagi. Ye ke masa kita baca doa makan kita acknowledge konsep rezeki dari Allah? Ke kita baca sebab memang hari-hari kita baca doa dah jadi rutin dah lagipun taknak kongsi dengan syaitan nanti makan tak kenyang pulak kan.

yesterday I went to find mashed potato, semua kedai tak ready lagi mashed potato masing-masing. And I was  trembling from hunger and my teeth is starting to hurt (cannot eat the pain killer on empty stomach). See? Ada duit nak beli makanan pun belum tentu boleh makan tau. Itulah kata orang, kalau tak ada rezeki tu, dah masuk mulut pun boleh terluah. eh.

Every meal should be like thanksgiving meal.

Bukan suruh makan ayam belanda hari-hari. Bukan jugak suruh masak beriya-iya makan besar setiap hari. Cuma nak ambil sentimen syukur tu biar tinggi setiap hari. 

Sebut pasal doa makan tadi.
"Segala pujian bagi Allah yang telah memberi makanan dan  minuman kepada kami, dan yang telah menjadikan kami orang-orang muslim."

Semoga hari-hari kita bersyukur menjadi orang-orang muslim.
